Kunming Customs' Double 11 Cross border E-commerce Clearance Busy

In recent days, the cross-border e-commerce warehouse in Kunming Comprehensive Bonded Zone has been bustling with a variety of skincare products, food, and other goods on the shelves. Staff are conducting orderly sorting, packing, sorting, and loading operations. After being supervised and released by customs officers at Kunming Post Office, these cross-border e-commerce products will be quickly shipped to domestic and foreign consumers.

"This year's' Double 11 'promotion cycle is long and the demand for goods is concentrated. We started stocking up more than a month in advance, and 286 kinds of goods participated in the promotion activity." Du Meng, general manager of Yunnan Zhengmai Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., introduced that the company's Cainiao bonded warehouse has successfully docked with Xiaohongshu, Dawu, Kwai and other e-commerce platforms, and promoted cross-border e-commerce goods based on our media and live broadcast platforms, further expanding the sales channels.

In response to the characteristics of large inventory and fast logistics turnover in cross-border e-commerce, Kunming Post Office Customs has proactively understood the promotion plans and customs clearance needs of enterprises, set up consultation service windows, opened online service lines, and guided enterprises to use convenient modes such as "advance declaration" and "two-step declaration" to ensure that stocked goods can be conveniently processed in the area. At the same time, promote the use of cross-border e-commerce retail import tax electronic payment, self-service printing, and electronic tax guarantee functions to improve the efficiency of cross-border e-commerce commodity clearance. Data shows that since the launch of the "Double 11" promotion on October 15th, Kunming Comprehensive Bonded Zone has imported and exported 650000 cross-border e-commerce products, with a transaction amount of 29.34 million yuan, an increase of 53% and 16% year-on-year, respectively.

We have strengthened the sharing and supervision linkage of logistics, warehousing, and customs clearance information within the park. With the help of intelligent supervision system equipment, we can view the real-time status of goods in the park through data, and grasp the situation of goods entering, clearing, and leaving the zone throughout the entire process. Now that the import and export volume of cross-border e-commerce has entered a peak period, we supervise about 9800 cross-border e-commerce goods every day, with a maximum of over 16000 orders per day. Through the construction of intelligent information platforms and the implementation of customs clearance facilitation measures, enterprises can complete daily orders and ship them on the same day during the promotion period, "said Ming Qi, the head of the Customs Supervision Department of Kunming Post Office.

With the continuous upgrading of cross-border logistics networks, Yunnan's cross-border e-commerce industry has ushered in new opportunities for development. Kunming Post Office Customs innovated and promoted customs clearance transportation modes such as "China Laos Railway+cross-border e-commerce" in combination with the needs of enterprises. After completing the "one-stop" railway security inspection and customs supervision at the railway trackless station in the comprehensive bonded area, cross-border e-commerce export goods can be exported to Laos, Thailand and other countries faster by taking the China Laos Railway instead of the second inspection. Data shows that since the "Double 11" promotion, Kunming Post Office has supervised over 1400 cross-border e-commerce goods exported via the China Laos Railway, with a cargo weight of over 62 tons.
