Argentina imposes anti-dumping measures on PVC profiles from China, sunset merger, changes in situation review, final ruling
On October 30, 2025, the Argentine Ministry of Economy issued Announcement No. 1680 of 2025, making a negative final ruling on the sunset review and change of circumstances review of anti-dumping measures on PVC profiles (Perfiles de pol í meros de cloruro de vinilo, de los tipos utilizados en la fabricaci ó n de aberturas o cerramientos) originating from China used for manufacturing doors, windows and partitions, and deciding not to continue implementing anti-dumping measures. The Argentine tax number of the product involved is 3916.20.00. The announcement shall come into effect from the date of publication.
On December 3, 2012, Argentina initiated an anti-dumping investigation into PVC profiles originating from China and Germany. On July 16, 2014, Argentina made a positive final ruling on the case and officially imposed anti-dumping duties, of which the tax amount for the products involved in China was 0.88 US dollars per kilogram. Afterwards, Argentina conducted a sunset review and made a positive ruling on March 26, 2020, extending the tax period. On February 27, 2025, Argentina initiated a second sunset review investigation into the case, as well as a change of circumstances review investigation.
