Fujian sweet corn seeds exported abroad in large quantities for the first time

Recently, 5 tons of domestic sweet corn seeds produced by wannong High Tech Group Co., Ltd. were successfully shipped from Mawei Port in Fuzhou to Lebanon, which is the first batch export of sweet corn seeds in Fujian Province.

As a national high-tech enterprise and a key leading enterprise of agricultural industrialization in Fujian Province, wannong High Tech Group Co., Ltd. has been deeply involved in the whole chain of seed R&D, production and sales since its establishment in 2003. At present, it has become the first batch of provincial seed benchmarking enterprises integrating breeding, propagation and promotion in Fujian Province. In June this year, after the company successfully obtained the export approval of sweet corn seed category, it signed a sales agreement of 22 tons of sweet corn seeds with Lebanese customers. It plans to ship the seeds in two batches. This shipment is the first batch of sweet corn seeds.

"Compared with the existing sweet corn varieties in Lebanon, our corn seeds are more adaptable to the environment and climate. In order to support the export of this batch of sweet corn seeds, Rongcheng customs under Fuzhou Customs intervened in advance to guide enterprises to familiarize themselves with the regulations and procedures for the export of germplasm resources. By arranging plant quarantine experts to provide services, they comprehensively collected breeding, storage, planting and other data, and went to the enterprise to conduct field supervision, so as to guide enterprises to do a good job in pest epidemic prevention management and ensure that the whole process of epidemic prevention management is standardized and meets the requirements.
