Mexico makes final ruling on anti-dumping review of Spanish steel beams during anti-dumping period
On November 10, 2025, the Mexican Ministry of Economy issued a final ruling of negative review during the anti-dumping period on I-shaped and H-shaped steel beams (Spanish: vigas de acero tipo I y tipo H) originating from the Spanish company AMOB, and decided not to impose anti-dumping duties on AMOB. The TIGIE tax numbers of the products involved are 7216.32.99 and 7216.33.01. The measures will take effect from the day after the announcement is released.
On August 31, 2021, Mexico initiated an anti-dumping investigation into I-shaped and H-shaped steel beams originating from Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom. On February 24, 2023, the Mexican Ministry of Economy made a final positive anti-dumping ruling on I-shaped and H-shaped steel beams from Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom, officially imposing anti-dumping duties on the involved companies. Among them, the Spanish company AMOB is subject to an anti-dumping duty of 0.0613 US dollars/kg, and other Spanish companies are subject to an anti-dumping duty of 0.0666 US dollars/kg. On June 19, 2024, Mexico initiated a review investigation during the anti-dumping period on I-shaped and H-shaped steel beams originating in Spain. The investigation period of the case is from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023. On March 11, 2025, Mexico made a preliminary ruling on the interim review of the case and decided to maintain the current anti-dumping duty of $0.0613/kg on the Spanish company AMOB unchanged.
