From January to July, Fujian Province's trade with the least developed countries reached a new high
With the increasingly close trade ties between Fujian Province and the least developed countries, the scale of imports and exports is also continuously increasing. From January to July, Fujian Province's imports and exports to the least developed countries amounted to 49.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%, and the trade value reached a new historical high for the same period. Among them, imports amounted to 22.12 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.5%; Exports amounted to 27.58 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.6%.
Data shows that private enterprises continue to play a leading role in foreign trade. From January to July, private enterprises in Fujian Province imported and exported 34.12 billion yuan to the least developed countries, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%, accounting for 68.7% of the province's total import and export value to the least developed countries during the same period. During the same period, state-owned enterprises imported and exported 12.9 billion yuan to the least developed countries, a year-on-year increase of 33.2%, accounting for 26.0% of Fujian Province's imports and exports to the least developed countries during the same period.
From the perspective of trading partners, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, and Cambodia are the top three markets for Fujian's import and export trade with the least developed countries. From January to July, Fujian's imports and exports to the aforementioned countries amounted to RMB 8.80 billion, RMB 6.27 billion, and RMB 5.22 billion, respectively, accounting for 17.7%, 12.6%, and 10.5% of the province's total trade value with the least developed countries during the same period, with a combined proportion of 40.8%.
It is worth noting that Fujian's import and export performance to Angola and Sierra Leone during the same period was impressive, with imports and exports of 2.06 billion yuan and 1.18 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 1.1 times and 1.5 times year-on-year.
From the perspective of commodity structure, mechanical and electrical products are the main export commodities of Fujian to the least developed countries. From January to July, the export value was 10.45 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30.7%, accounting for 37.9% of the total export value of Fujian Province to the least developed countries during the same period; The export of labor-intensive products was 5.51 billion yuan, accounting for 20.0%. Imports are mainly bulk commodities, with a total import value of 12.25 billion yuan from January to July, a year-on-year increase of 31.0%, accounting for 55.4% of Fujian Province's total import value to the least developed countries during the same period. Among them, the import of metal ore and mineral sand was 11.54 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.7%; Unforged copper imports amounted to 5.95 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 89.0%.
