As of mid September, Shanghai Customs has supervised the export of 40.6 tons of mooncakes with a value of 3.729 million yuan, including mooncakes with strong "Shanghai style" flavors such as wine aroma, dark chocolate flowing heart, cheese lychee rose, Earl Grey black tea tiramisu, and low sugar osmanthus oolong.
It is reported that these "Haipai" mooncakes produced in Shanghai have a balance of Chinese and Western flavors, outstanding innovation and inclusiveness, and have been exported to markets in multiple countries and regions such as the United States, Australia, and Malaysia.
Jiuxiang mooncakes are a new attempt by a company in Jinshan District, Shanghai. This "Haipai" mooncake, infused with yellow wine from Jiangnan, has captured the taste buds of many diners and can quickly exceed 50000 pieces per day. Jinshan Customs, a subsidiary of Shanghai Customs, has opened a "green channel" for the inspection of "seasonal food" and implemented convenient measures such as "inspection appointment+immediate reporting and inspection+cloud issuance" to minimize the clearance time.
In order to help Shanghai made mooncakes smoothly go global, Shanghai Wusong Customs, a subsidiary of Shanghai Customs, recently launched a special service for mooncake export. Recently, a batch of mooncakes supervised by Shanghai Wusong Customs arrived in Malaysia smoothly, with a value of over 600000 yuan and a total of more than 1100 boxes. In addition to traditional flavors such as bean paste, lotus seed paste, five nuts, and moss strips, there are also more than a dozen "Shanghai style" new flavors including dark chocolate flowing heart, cheese lychee rose, Earl Grey black tea tiramisu, and low sugar osmanthus oolong, which are popular among local consumers.
