Rizhao's premium agricultural food products' Xianxing 'go global

Recently, at the constant temperature warehouse of Jiatian subsidiary of Rizhao Meijia Group, batches of fresh aquatic products and plump fruits and vegetables entered the assembly line, completing processing, quick freezing, packaging and other processes in sequence. They were sorted and neatly stored in the cold storage, ready to be sent to overseas markets.

Food exports are most afraid of unclear standards and delayed customs clearance. Overseas regulations update quickly, and once they do not comply, they not only delay delivery, but may also face return losses, "said Sun Mingyan, the head of the group's foreign trade. The more high-end the market, the stricter the requirements for planting control, production processing, inspection and quarantine, and the higher the requirements for customs clearance efficiency.

In order to solve the problem of exporting agricultural and food products, Rizhao Customs has provided assistance and guidance to enterprises to improve their quality management systems such as HACCP based on the characteristics of the industries in its jurisdiction. It has promoted standardized production of "leading enterprises+planting bases" and built a solid quality defense line from the source. At the same time, it has connected with overseas registration requirements, recommended eligible enterprises to apply for official registration, and helped enterprises obtain high-end market access qualifications.

In response to the demand for 'fresh, urgent, and special' agricultural and food products, we have established a local inspection 'green channel', implemented appointment inspection, priority testing, and immediate release upon inspection, combined with convenient policies such as AEO enterprise priority inspection, to compress the clearance time throughout the entire process. ”Chen Dong, the head of the Inspection Department of Rizhao Customs, stated that the customs are vigorously promoting the self-service printing of certificates of origin and the "cloud issuance" of inspection and quarantine certificates. Enterprises can complete procedures without leaving their homes, and the processing time for a single certificate has been reduced to less than 10 minutes.

Relying on continuously optimized regulatory services, the resilience of Rizhao's agricultural and food product exports continues to strengthen. Since the beginning of this year, Rizhao Customs has assisted 2 food companies in successfully expanding into the EU market, and 16 companies have achieved their first exports. In the first nine months of this year, the export of agricultural products in Rizhao City exceeded 6.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.9%. (Fu Renjun, Wang Yihui/Wen)
