First voyage! Luoyuan fresh abalone is exported to Vietnam
Recently, under the supervision of Rongcheng Customs under Fuzhou Customs, a batch of 2000 kilograms of fresh abalone was successfully shipped from Luoyuan County, Fuzhou City to Vietnam. This is the first direct export of fresh abalone from Luoyuan County, marking the successful development of the local characteristic marine fishery in the international market and further enhancing the influence of regional seafood brands.
Luoyuan Bay has excellent water quality, suitable water temperature, and abundant natural bait, making it a rare high-quality abalone breeding area in China. After nearly 30 years of deep industrial cultivation, Luoyuan County has become the second largest abalone farming area in China. The county's abalone farming area covers 16000 acres, with an annual output of 40000 tons and an annual output value exceeding 3.3 billion yuan, driving employment for more than 13000 people in the county. The abalone industry has become the core pillar of Luoyuan's marine economy and rural characteristic industry. The locally produced abalone has tight flesh, fresh, sweet and tender texture, and has been successfully selected as one of the top ten regional public brands of agricultural products in Fujian in 2025. However, due to the unfamiliarity of local aquaculture entities with overseas market access rules and the lack of export related qualifications, the export development of high-quality and fresh Luoyuan abalone industry is limited.
To solve the problem of fresh aquatic products such as abalone going abroad, Rongcheng Customs, in conjunction with the Agriculture and Rural Bureau of Luoyuan County, provides advanced services and precise policies, and provides one-on-one guidance to breeding enterprises to optimize the breeding process, improve the full chain control system, comprehensively enhance the standardization level of breeding, help enterprises successfully obtain registration qualifications for outbound aquatic animal farms, and do a good job in disease monitoring and toxic and harmful substance safety risk monitoring, ensuring that product quality meets the requirements of export destination countries.
Customs strengthens guidance services for technical trade measures, enhances the compliance management capabilities of enterprises, helps enterprises make good use of preferential measures such as RCEP, and continues to smooth the 'green channel' for local inspection of fresh agricultural and food products, ensuring the rapid clearance of qualified products and assisting the smooth export of Luoyuan's characteristic aquatic products. ”Hu Lihe, Deputy Director of the Enterprise Management and Inspection Department of Rongcheng Customs stationed in Luoyuan Bay, said.
The smooth export of high-quality local abalone has also greatly excited the local aquaculture industry. Luoyuan abalone has good quality and a good reputation in the domestic market, but we were not familiar with foreign regulations and the customs clearance process of foreign trade before, so we were unable to undertake overseas orders. "Zhou Honglei, the president of Luoyuan County Abalone Association, sighed. With the precise assistance of multiple departments throughout the process, the industry has completed the standardization and rectification of breeding farms, successfully obtained export qualifications, and streamlined the entire customs clearance process. In the future, the industry will continue to promote standardized and regulated aquaculture, strictly adhere to the quality standards of aquatic products, and enable more high-quality abalone from Luoyuan to enter the global market.
The successful export of fresh abalone this time is an important landmark breakthrough in the transformation and upgrading of our county's marine fishery industry, "said Huang Changhui, Director of the Agriculture and Rural Bureau of Luoyuan County. This live abalone export not only broadens the income channels for fishing enterprises and breeders, effectively enhances the brand awareness of Luoyuan's marine products, but also injects new foreign trade momentum into the high-quality development of the local marine economy and the transformation and upgrading of characteristic fisheries.
Next, Fuzhou Customs will work with local departments to continuously deepen the collaborative service mechanism between customs and local areas, focus on providing guidance on aquaculture technology and cultivating regional brands, improve the layout of the entire marine fishery industry chain, rely on the RCEP policy dividends to deeply cultivate the ASEAN overseas market, and fully promote the transformation of Fujian's fishery industry from "yield advantage" to "brand advantage and foreign trade advantage", continuously expand and strengthen the local characteristic marine aquaculture industry, and serve the high-quality development of Fujian's marine economy.
