Capital Airport Customs provides 24-hour uninterrupted guarantee for global goods to arrive in Beijing and enrich holiday dining tables

Recently, the cargo port of Capital International Airport has experienced a peak in customs clearance for imported fresh products. Beijing Customs recently introduced that during the National Day holiday, the Capital Airport Customs under Beijing Customs provides 24-hour uninterrupted protection, accelerating the entry of good goods from around the world into the domestic consumer market, and "grabbing fresh" adds luster to citizens' holiday dining tables.

At the cargo port of the Capital International Airport, cold chain transport vehicles keep coming and going, and fresh flowers, seafood, and seasonal fruits from all over the world accelerate into the local market from here. As the main air freight fresh food import gateway in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, Capital International Airport relies on its route network covering major economies around the world to build a fresh food air channel connecting the five continents. High quality fresh products from South Africa, salmon from Northern Europe, and tropical fruits from Southeast Asia arrive in Hong Kong day and night, and the import volume of fresh products at ports continues to rise, with increasingly diverse categories.

Before the National Day holiday, more than 15000 fresh cut flowers such as lilies from South Africa arrived at the North District of the Capital Airport Customs Inspection Center. In less than 10 minutes, these fresh cut flowers with tall stems and full colors were cleared and sent to major flower markets in the city.

Thanks to the "7 × 24" 24-hour uninterrupted customs clearance measures implemented by the Capital Airport Customs, the entire process from overseas base cutting, air transportation to Hong Kong to being placed on the shelves of Beijing flower shops can be completed in as little as 72 hours. Li Yang, a staff member of Beijing Jingke Hongxiang Import and Export Trading Co., Ltd., said that with the improvement of customs clearance efficiency, the loss of flowers has significantly reduced, and he feels much more at ease.

While flowers are competing for beauty, fresh seafood is also densely arriving at the port. Recently, a batch of rock lobsters were inspected by customs officers in the animal and plant inspection area of the Capital Airport Customs. After opening the box, the lively crayfish dance their antennae, and the customs officers verify the certificate of origin, fishing area information, strictly inspect the box for hidden items, and simultaneously investigate the risk of animal diseases. After passing the inspection, this batch of lobsters was quickly loaded onto trucks and sent directly to the Beijing Shenzhen Seafood Market, where they could be "jumped" onto public dining tables on the same day.

Beijing YiSuda Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. is an enterprise that operates imported rock lobster from South Africa. The head of the enterprise, Dai Yunyun, told Beijing Daily reporters that after China fully implemented zero tariffs on 53 African countries with diplomatic relations, the import cost of rock lobster has been reduced, and consumers can enjoy tangible benefits. The confidence of the enterprise to expand its import business in Africa has also increased. Rock lobster from South Africa is very popular, and our import volume has increased by 30% compared to before the implementation of zero tariffs, "said the shipping agent.

In addition to flowers and lobsters, specialty fruits such as Thai mangosteen and Malaysian durian, as well as high-end seafood such as Norwegian frozen salmon and New Zealand abalone, continue to enter through the capital airport port, adding a lot of international flavor to the holiday table. According to data from Beijing Customs, since September, the capital airport port has imported nearly 600 tons of fresh goods with a value exceeding 63 million yuan.
