In September, Guangzhou Customs supervised the operation of 277 imported and exported goods totaling 27300 TEUs on the China Europe freight train at Guangzhou International Port
During the National Day holiday, the Guangzhou China Europe freight train "Mercedes Benz" did not stop. On October 3rd, at the Guangzhou International Port China Europe Railway Station, under the supervision of Guangzhou Customs, a China Europe train loaded with smart home appliances, clothing, shoes, and other Guangzhou goods accelerated its departure and is expected to arrive in the European market in 15 days.
In order to catch up with the overseas Christmas sales season, our shipment pace remains tight during the National Day holiday. The China Europe freight train departs as usual and runs on time during the holiday, and the customs declaration, inspection, release and other clearance processes are also efficient and smooth, ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers, "said Wang Wenping, General Manager of Guangzhou Suwen Customs Declaration Co., Ltd.
It is reported that Guangzhou Station Customs visited train operation companies and freight forwarding companies in advance to understand train shipment and cargo export plans, closely coordinated with railway departments, train operation platforms, and border port customs, and established a linkage guarantee mechanism. At the same time, dedicated personnel will be arranged to be on duty, and 24-hour appointment clearance will be implemented to guide enterprises to apply convenient measures such as "advance declaration" and "railway fast clearance", and to "inspect and release the goods on the train as soon as they arrive".
Relying on the 'railway fast customs clearance' model, the electronic data of customs and railway departments' manifests are interconnected. Customs conducts cargo review in advance based on railway manifest information, and enterprises do not need to make duplicate declarations or handle separate customs transfer procedures, greatly simplifying the customs clearance process. "Kang Qi, Deputy Director of the Customs Supervision Department at Guangzhou Station, introduced that during this year's National Day holiday (October 1-7), Guangzhou International Port plans to operate 5 China Europe freight trains, carrying 550 TEUs of goods with a value of nearly 153 million yuan.
At present, the Guangzhou International Port China Europe Express can reach over 20 countries and more than 40 cities, providing an efficient, safe, and stable international logistics channel for more than 5000 foreign trade enterprises. According to statistics, in the first nine months of this year, Guangzhou Customs supervised 277 China Europe freight trains and 27300 TEUs of imported and exported goods at Guangzhou International Port, an increase of 11.2% and 28.6% year-on-year, respectively.
