Zhejiang citrus fruits compete for "freshness" and go abroad

On the 14th, a batch of exported citrus fruits was officially shipped to Canada after passing the inspection and quarantine by Taizhou Customs. The batch of tangerines, totaling 25.82 tons with a value of approximately 36000 US dollars, is expected to arrive in Canada in 15 days. This is the first batch of citrus fruits exported from Zhejiang this year, marking the beginning of the new export season for citrus fruits in Zhejiang.

Citrus is a fresh and perishable product that requires high preservation and transportation efficiency. Supporting enterprises to seize the peak export season, Taizhou Customs has opened a "green channel" for local inspection of fresh and perishable agricultural and food products. This year, we are also carrying out the reform of 'batch inspection (quarantine)' for exported agricultural and food products. The first batch of declared products from the first 'batch inspection unit' will be released after on-site inspection and quarantine, while other products from the same batch can be verified and released. The inspection time has been reduced from 30 minutes to immediate release, further improving the efficiency of customs clearance for exported products
