Zhejiang fresh grapes export to Belgium for the first time

Ningbo, Zhejiang, September 10th (Xinhua) -30 boxes of 150 kilograms of "Sunshine Rose" grapes produced in Cixi City, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province were inspected and approved by Cixi Customs under Ningbo Customs on September 10th and flew directly to Belgium. Confirmed by customs, this is the first time Zhejiang fresh grapes have been exported to Belgium.
Cixi has unique coastal saline alkali land, where the "Sunshine Rose" grown has a balanced sugar acid ratio, thick flesh, and outstanding taste.
To facilitate the smooth export of agricultural products, Cixi Customs interprets the EU quarantine requirements and pesticide residue limit standards, conducts risk monitoring in advance, and guides farms. In response to the extremely short shelf life of grapes, the customs has opened a "green channel" for local inspection of fresh and perishable agricultural and food products, implementing priority inspection and scheduled inspection to minimize customs clearance time.
The assistance from customs not only allows grapes to be transported overseas during the best flavor period, but also gives customers confidence in the stability of supply, laying a solid foundation for long-term cooperation, "said Wu Kaibo, the head of a fruit and vegetable farm in Cixi. The grapes exported to Belgium this time are produced on this farm.
According to statistical data, from January to August this year, Cixi Customs supervised the export of 19.6 tons of fresh grapes with a value of 273000 yuan. (End)
