The export of complete vehicles from Fuzhou Port has exceeded the 50000 vehicle mark
On August 22nd, under the supervision of Rongcheng Customs under Fuzhou Customs, the roll on/roll off ship "BYD Zhengzhou" loaded with 6115 domestic cars set sail for Brazil, marking the first time that Fuzhou Port's automobile exports exceeded 50000 vehicles and setting a new historical high for the single ship roll on/roll off export volume of Fujian Province's automobile ports.
According to Fuzhou Customs, a total of 32 roll on/roll off ships have been operated at Fuzhou Port since the beginning of this year, traveling to 9 countries and regions around the world; 51108 cars were exported, a year-on-year increase of 40 times, covering traditional fuel passenger vehicles, new energy vehicles, and plug-in hybrid vehicles; There are a total of 15 export brands, with sources radiating to the domestic automotive industry hinterland such as Chongqing, Hubei, Shandong, and Anhui.
Since the beginning of this year, the frequency of vehicle operation at Fuzhou Port has been high, with three indicators of roll on/roll off ship export voyage, total vehicle export volume, and number of vehicle export brands reaching historic highs. On the one hand, this is due to the complete support of the domestic automobile industry chain, and the design of automobile products that are suitable for the needs of users in multiple countries, leading to strong demand in the international market. On the other hand, it is also due to the increase in the density of roll on/roll off ship voyage and the increasingly mature and perfect roll on/roll off transportation supporting system at Fuzhou Port.
It is understood that roll on/roll off ships are the main maritime carrier for China's vehicle exports, known as the "mobile garage" of the sea. Cars do not need to be lifted and can be directly loaded into the cabin, making them suitable for large-scale ocean exports of vehicles and accurately matching the large-scale, sustainable, and large-scale export needs of domestic and foreign car companies. The "BYD Zhengzhou" ship, which is responsible for the export of the entire vehicle, belongs to BYD's own fleet and is a domestically produced LNG dual fuel large vehicle roll on/roll off ship. It is equipped with 13 loading decks and can load up to 7000 vehicles. It has the ability to transport goods across oceans and seas, and is a microcosm of China's independent brand cars' "shipbuilding and going global".
At present, Fuzhou Port operates an average of 4 to 5 roll on/roll off ships per month. Faced with the rising demand for whole vehicle export business, we continuously integrate and upgrade the integrated platform for whole vehicle export, improve the full chain guarantee mechanism, carry out pre examination of export whole vehicle information, qualification verification and other businesses, coordinate with the port to optimize the export process, and help enterprises solve difficult problems such as export filing and compliance declaration, "said Gao Xiang, Deputy Director of the Transport Vehicle Supervision Department of Rongcheng Customs Office in Fuqing.
