On the evening of August 20th, an international cargo charter plane loaded with over 10 tons of fresh Thai mangosteen landed smoothly at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, overcoming the heat wave. Under the full guarantee of Chongqing Jiangbei Airport Customs, this batch of tropical rare fruits with deep purple color and fruity aroma were quickly inspected and released at the port.
This is the first time that fresh mangosteen has been imported into Chongqing Air Port, marking a new addition to Chongqing's role as a fresh food distribution center in the southwest region. When the fresh and sweet branches of Southeast Asia meet the consumption enthusiasm of mountain cities here, it not only enriches the "fruit plates" of citizens, but also becomes a vivid portrayal of Chongqing's acceleration in cultivating and building an international consumption center city, and activating domestic demand potential with diversified supply.
The freshness period of fresh mountain bamboo is extremely short, and the shelf life is calculated in hours. When it first leaves the Chongqing port, I feel a bit uneasy. He calculated that relying on the preferential policies of origin under the China ASEAN Free Trade Agreement and the efficient customs clearance environment at Chongqing Port, the comprehensive logistics and operating costs of enterprises have been significantly reduced, truly achieving a virtuous cycle of "fresher and more cost-effective".
At present, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has 22 international cargo routes, providing an increasingly convenient air corridor for global fresh food to "fly into" mountain cities.
In order to seize the opportunity for "fresh" goods, Chongqing Jiangbei Airport Customs intervened in advance, providing precise guidance to enterprises to make full use of various preferential policies, adopting facilitation measures such as "early declaration" and "two-stage access", and improving the clearance time of fresh goods by 15%; At the same time, in collaboration with relevant departments of the airport, a specialized guarantee system of "green channel+temperature controlled cold storage" has been launched to achieve "instant inspection and full process freshness locking" of fresh goods. The transformation from "goods waiting for people" to "people waiting for goods" is a microcosm of the continuous improvement of cross-border trade facilitation level at Chongqing Port, with cold chain facilities keeping up, ground support being able to meet expectations, and customs clearance efficiency winning.
Not only mountain bamboo, in recent years, the fresh goods category at Chongqing Airport Port has continued to enrich, and global deliciousness is accelerating its convergence, allowing mountain city residents to easily "eat all over the world" at their doorstep.
