When answering a reporter's question, He Yongqian said that in 2025, China's foreign trade will continue to grow under pressure, with various highlights, fully demonstrating resilience and vitality, and making important contributions to global economic and trade development. In 2026, the Ministry of Commerce will anchor the goals of innovative development, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement, focus on promoting the integration of trade and investment, cultivate new driving forces for foreign trade, and make every effort to stabilize the basic situation of foreign trade, contributing to the success of the 15th Five Year Plan. Efforts should be made to ensure the effective implementation of various foreign trade policies, implement measures to stabilize foreign trade, provide targeted assistance to enterprises, and maintain confidence and expectations; Guide localities to combine reality, strengthen situation analysis and enterprise related research, and innovate measures to stabilize foreign trade; Strengthen policy promotion and interpretation to ensure that enterprises fully understand and enjoy what they should know.

Intensify efforts to expand diversified markets. The Ministry of Commerce will strengthen guidance to local governments and enterprises, helping them stabilize traditional markets and expand into emerging markets; Intensify support for enterprises to participate in overseas exhibitions and organize a series of trade promotion activities; Successfully host the 139th and 140th Canton Fairs; Continue to compile and distribute the 'Country Trade Guidelines' and foreign trade promotion information to help enterprises enhance their market development capabilities.

Accelerate the cultivation of new driving forces. The Ministry of Commerce will guide the cross-border e-commerce pilot zone to vigorously develop the cross-border e-commerce empowerment industry belt, strengthen the capacity building of cross-border e-commerce operators, and support overseas warehouse enterprises to accelerate their intelligent transformation. Implement the Implementation Opinions on Expanding Green Trade, study and formulate a statistical catalog for the import and export of green and low-carbon related products, and enhance the international competitiveness of green and low-carbon products; Promote artificial intelligence to empower the development of foreign trade and enhance the digitalization level of the entire trade chain.

Promote balanced development of imports and exports. The Ministry of Commerce will launch the "Export to China" brand, select annual theme countries for key docking, hold no less than 100 import promotion activities, build communication and docking platforms, facilitate the entry of high-quality products and services from more countries into China, and better meet the needs of the people for a better life.
