From January to April, Fujian's exports of pharmaceutical materials and drugs exceeded 1 billion yuan

According to Xiamen Customs statistics, from January to April, Fujian exported pharmaceutical materials and drugs worth 1.21 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6%; Among them, exports in April amounted to 320 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.3%.
The vitality of private enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises has surged, providing mutual support for the steady growth of Fujian's pharmaceutical materials and drug exports. According to officials from Xiamen Customs, from January to April, private enterprises in Fujian exported pharmaceutical materials and drugs worth 540 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.7%, accounting for 44.3% of the total export value of pharmaceutical materials and drugs in the province during the same period. During the same period, foreign-invested enterprises in Fujian exported pharmaceutical materials and drugs worth 490 million yuan, accounting for 40.7%. In addition, from January to April, state-owned enterprises in Fujian exported pharmaceutical materials and drugs worth 180 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 45.7%, accounting for 15%.
Taking Zhangzhou Pianzaihuang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. as an example, the company has a stable consumer base and market recognition in overseas markets with multiple main products. "Our company produces more than 20 kinds of traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations, such as Pienzehuang and Angong Niuhuang Pills, all year round. At present, our products are mainly exported to Singapore, Malaysia and other countries and regions. In the future, we plan to expand into Vietnam, Cambodia, Armenia and other markets," said the relevant person in charge of the company. It is understood that from January to April, the company exported more than 160 million yuan of various traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations, up nearly 40% year on year.
Other Asian countries and regions are the largest markets for Fujian's pharmaceutical materials and drug exports. Data shows that from January to April, Fujian's cumulative exports to other Asian countries and regions amounted to 640 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.1%, accounting for 53.1% of the total export value of pharmaceutical materials and drugs in the province during the same period; Among them, exports to Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Pakistan amounted to 85.53 million yuan, 64.25 million yuan, and 44.05 million yuan respectively, an increase of 26.3%, 1.4 times, and 37.9% year-on-year, accounting for a total of 16%.
Antibiotics are the main category of pharmaceutical materials and drugs exported from Fujian. According to statistics, from January to April, Fujian exported antibiotics worth 470 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.8%, accounting for 38.8% of the total export value of pharmaceutical materials and drugs in the province during the same period. During the same period, Fujian exported Pien Tze Huang worth 97.39 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 70%, accounting for 8%.
In order to fully assist the export of pharmaceutical materials and drugs from Fujian, Xiamen Customs has identified key medical and pharmaceutical production enterprises in the customs area, targeted the resolution of export bottlenecks, carried out precise policy propaganda and technical guidance, and helped enterprises identify and effectively avoid risks in advance; At the same time, in response to the bottlenecks and difficulties in the approval and qualification processing of production raw material imports, the customs promptly responded to enterprise questions, provided full process guidance for enterprises to apply for quarantine permits, and provided raw material guarantees for Fujian's pharmaceutical materials and drug exports.
