Zhanjiang's agricultural product exports demonstrate strong resilience, with Q2 growth reaching a new high in recent years

Since the beginning of this year, Zhanjiang Customs has closely followed the deployment of Guangdong Province's "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project", combined with the advantages of Zhanjiang as an agricultural city, and based on its customs responsibilities, formulated 13 measures to support rural revitalization in five aspects, fully promoting the development of modern agriculture and comprehensive rural revitalization in Zhanjiang. According to customs statistics, the export of agricultural products in Zhanjiang City reached 1.84 billion yuan in the first half of 2026, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%. The export of aquatic products has made steady progress, with multiple categories ranking among the top in the country. Zhanjiang Customs relies on platforms such as the "Customs Local Enterprise Dialogue Mechanism" and the "Xiahai and Feng" Studio to accurately meet the needs of enterprises and continuously optimize the export environment for aquatic products. Promote the intensive filing reform of raw material breeding farms for imported and exported aquatic products, apply the "Collaborative Intelligent Control" system to connect with the "Fishery Province Affairs" information service platform, and use the "Digital Intelligent Fishery Chain" to achieve full process digital management of breeding, supply and marketing, testing, etc. In response to the high demand for timeliness of fresh aquatic products, a green channel for local inspection and testing of fresh and perishable agricultural and food products has been established, closely connecting the acceptance of applications, local inspection, release and certification processes, and achieving the goal of "reporting, inspecting, and releasing fresh products at once" and "rushing to go abroad". In the first half of the year, Zhanjiang exported aquatic products worth 1.5 billion yuan, an increase of 4.5%, accounting for 81.5% of the total export value of agricultural products. Relying on the research and evaluation base for technical trade measures, we will strengthen information collection, risk warning, and compliance guidance, and promote the expansion of exports of characteristic agricultural products through a two-way approach of "information services+research response".
