According to Xiamen Customs statistics, in the first half of the year, Fujian's imports and exports to the European Union amounted to 134.05 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%, accounting for 13.5% of the province's total import and export value during the same period. Among them, the export value exceeded 100 billion yuan, reaching 112.64 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4%, accounting for 19.6% of the province's total export value during the same period; Imports amounted to 21.41 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16%, accounting for 5.1% of the province's total import value during the same period.
Data shows that Germany is the largest market for trade between Fujian and the European Union. In the first half of the year, Fujian's imports and exports to Germany amounted to 49.64 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%, accounting for 37% of the province's total imports and exports to the European Union during the same period; During the same period, Fujian's imports and exports to Hungary and Malta grew rapidly, with imports and exports of 4.36 billion yuan and 2.12 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 87.5% and 2.2 times year-on-year, accounting for a total of 4.8%.
Private enterprises have played a significant role in driving the growth of Fujian's imports and exports to the European Union. According to officials from Xiamen Customs, in the first half of the year, private enterprises in Fujian Province imported and exported 94.46 billion yuan to the European Union, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%, accounting for 70.4% of the province's total import and export value to the European Union during the same period, driving a 3.8 percentage point increase in the province's import and export to the European Union. During the same period, foreign-invested enterprises in Fujian imported and exported 28.95 billion yuan to the European Union, a year-on-year increase of 8%, accounting for 21.6%; State owned enterprises imported and exported 10.57 billion yuan to the European Union, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%, accounting for 7.9%.
The export of electromechanical products continues to thrive, becoming the core product driving Fujian's export growth to the European Union. Data shows that in the first half of the year, Fujian exported mechanical and electrical products to the European Union worth 73.08 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%, accounting for 64.9% of the province's total export value to the European Union during the same period, driving the province's export growth to the European Union by 6.3 percentage points; Among them, the export of ships has shown strong growth, with Fujian exporting ships worth 3.58 billion yuan to the European Union, a significant doubling year-on-year. During the same period, Fujian exported plastic products to the European Union worth 2.45 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.3%.
Imported goods are also mainly mechanical and electrical products, and more and more "EU made" mechanical and electrical products are being integrated into industrial, furniture and other scenarios. According to Xiamen Customs statistics, in the first half of the year, Fujian imported 11.47 billion yuan worth of mechanical and electrical products from the European Union, a year-on-year increase of 34.8%, accounting for 53.6% of the province's total import value from the European Union during the same period; Among them, the import of aircraft components and integrated circuits reached 2.09 billion yuan and 1.15 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 52.2% and three times year-on-year.
