Shanghai Customs accurately empowers Baoshan District's food export value to increase by 58% in the first half of this year

According to Shanghai Customs information, from January to June this year, the export value of food in Shanghai was 8.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.7%. Among them, Baoshan District in Shanghai has delivered impressive results in food exports: local enterprises in the district have declared a food export value of 290 million yuan, a significant increase of 56% year-on-year. From Jiangnan specialty pastries to fresh edible mushrooms, and then to flavored drinks, batches of "Baoshan flavors" are accelerating towards global dining tables through the efficient customs clearance "sea fast lane".

Baoshan District has gathered a group of food enterprises with both standardized production and independent research and development capabilities. Traditional pastry manufacturers represented by Shanghai Sanxiang Food and Laoxiangzhai are deeply cultivating the overseas Chinese market with products such as IOU cake and Qingtuan; Modern agricultural enterprises, led by Shanghai Yongda Mushroom Industry, sell fresh products such as white jade mushrooms and crab flavored mushrooms overseas. However, traditional enterprises often face the dilemma of "knowing production but not exporting", and fresh products have almost strict requirements for customs clearance time.

To break through the bottleneck of enterprises going abroad, Shanghai Wusong Customs, a subsidiary of Shanghai Customs, has established a full chain service system of "pre guidance, mid process acceleration, and post guarantee". At present, Baoshan District's food exports have covered more than ten categories such as beverages, pre made dishes, aquatic products, seasonings, etc.

Ma Qin, Deputy Director of the Enterprise Management Department of Shanghai Wusong Customs, pointed out that different countries have specific requirements for the source of food raw materials and the qualifications of producers.
