On July 9th, under the supervision of customs officers from Changxing Island in Dalian, a batch of fresh plums with a total weight of 5.7 tons from Yongquan Fruit Co., Ltd. were cleared and released after passing inspection, and will soon be exported overseas.
Located in the western part of the Liaodong Peninsula, Wafangdian City in Dalian, Liaoning Province, has a temperate monsoon climate with abundant sunshine throughout the year and a large temperature difference between day and night, providing unique conditions for the growth of fruits such as plums. At present, the Wafangdian area has multiple plum varieties such as Heibulin, Angono, Guofeng No. 7, and Dahongpao, which are loved by consumers at home and abroad for their sweet taste and crisp taste.
The shelf life of plums is short, and there are high requirements for customs clearance efficiency. After understanding our customs clearance needs, the customs guided us to apply for the 'batch inspection (quarantine)' mode. Plums sent from the same batch to different countries and regions do not need to be inspected repeatedly. The average time for products to be reported from export to customs clearance is only 30 minutes, and the clearance efficiency has been greatly improved. Nowadays, our products have been exported to Europe, America, West Asia, the Middle East and other regions, and the types of exported plums have increased to three, significantly improving export efficiency, "said Mou Xiaoquan, General Manager of Wafangdian Yongquan Fruit Co., Ltd.
To promote the expansion of plum exports in the jurisdiction, customs officers from Changxing Island Customs in Dalian conducted in-depth lectures on customs clearance policies for enterprises, focusing on trade policies and inspection and quarantine requirements of export destination countries, and answering questions and clarifying doubts for enterprises; Guide enterprises to improve their quality control system, implement online registration and approval processes, and help them smoothly obtain registration and qualifications for overseas orchards, fruit packaging factories, and overseas registration; In the process of product export, we will open up a "green channel" for local inspection of fresh and perishable agricultural and food products, implement measures such as appointment inspection, priority certificate issuance, batch inspection (quarantine), etc., and significantly shorten the export clearance time.
According to statistics, from January to June this year, Dalian Changxing Island Customs has supervised the export of 2327.7 tons of plums, with a value of 26.24 million yuan, an increase of 125.6% and 118.6% year-on-year, respectively. (Ning Jiechen/Text)
