On the afternoon of July 6th, the barge "Dafeng 3028" loaded a batch of refrigerators from Guangdong Oma Refrigerator Co., Ltd. and slowly departed from Huangpu Port. This batch of goods was transported to Nansha Port in Guangzhou in a "combined port (one port connection)" mode, and then exported to countries and regions such as Indonesia by international cargo ships, marking the official opening of the "Zhongshan Huangpu Port Guangzhou Nansha Port" and "one port connection" routes. Since then, a total of five "one port connection" routes have been opened between various ports in Zhongshan City and Nansha Port in Guangzhou, achieving full coverage.

Huangpu Port in Zhongshan City is located on the right bank of Hongqili Waterway, 17 nautical miles away from Nansha Port. It is an important logistics channel for the transportation of bathroom products, household appliances and other products from towns and streets in northern Zhongshan to Hong Kong, China and international markets. The "One Port Connection" model breaks through the restrictions of regional zoning on port logistics by exchanging and recognizing customs supervision information, sharing and linking customs clearance data, greatly simplifying the customs clearance process, realizing the "two ports" as "one port", accelerating the efficiency of water transportation transfer, and effectively meeting the needs of enterprises for smooth export.

In the past, goods transported from Huangpu to Nansha needed to go through separate procedures in two places, "said Zhang Baiyue, Deputy General Manager of Zhongshan Huangpu Port Freight Joint Venture Co., Ltd." Under the 'One Port Connection' model, we only need to select the corresponding option during customs declaration, and the port can send real-time transportation data to the customs, achieving one-time declaration and release of goods. The logistics time can be shortened by 2 to 3 days, which improves the turnover efficiency of containers in our port and significantly reduces export costs

In recent years, Zhongshan Port Customs has focused on the construction of smart customs and the coordinated development of ports in the Greater Bay Area. Through mechanisms such as "one enterprise, one policy", "customs chief delivering policies to the door", and "problem clearing", it has strengthened policy promotion and vigorously promoted the smooth implementation of the "combination port (one port connection)" model, promoting the deep integration of international shipping resources in hub ports and the source of goods and yard resources in branch ports. In the first half of this year, Zhongshan Port Customs supervised a total of 290 flights under the "Combination Port (One Port Connection)" mode, and released over 15500 TEUs of exported goods.
