The 'Export to China' UK Special Event was held in London

On July 1st, the "Export to China" UK event was held in London. Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and UK Secretary of State for Trade and Industry Kyle attended and delivered speeches. Ambassador to the UK Zheng Zeguang, Executive Director of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Duan Hongtao, Chairman of the UK China Business Association Wu Sitian, and others attended.

Wang Wentao stated that the UK is China's third largest trading partner in Europe, and China is the UK's largest trading partner in Asia. The economic and trade cooperation between China and the UK continues to deepen, achieving complementary advantages in industries and mutual exchange of market factors. China is willing to work with the UK to jointly promote the transformation of the "great potential" of China UK cooperation into "great achievements".

Wang Wentao stated that China has the world's largest middle-income group and a super large market advantage, with enormous potential to expand imports from the UK. From the perspective of our trading partners, we aim to create the "Export to China" brand, committed to sharing new opportunities for China's development with the world and injecting positive energy into the world economy. We hope that British enterprises will actively participate in the "Export to China" series of activities and the 9th China International Import Expo, deeply connect and negotiate with Chinese enterprises, continue to expand the field of Sino British trade cooperation, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and create a new chapter of Sino British economic and trade cooperation.

Kyle stated that the newly launched industrial development strategy in the UK is highly aligned with China's 15th Five Year Plan, creating opportunities for cooperation between the two sides. Both the UK and China can enhance understanding and work together through dialogue, maintain stable economic and trade relations, and benefit the people of both countries.

During the event, the 9th China International Import Expo was promoted overseas, and the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, the UK China Trade Association, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and JD Group issued relevant support measures. More than 300 entrepreneurs, business associations, and government representatives from China and the UK participated, covering multiple areas of cooperation such as automotive, energy and chemical, instrumentation, sports events, and life sciences.
