Gansu Simmental Bulls debut in Uzbekistan
On June 11th, after passing the quarantine inspection of Jiuquan Customs under Lanzhou Customs, 72 Simmental cattle were transported by live animal transport vehicles from Jiuquan City to Uzbekistan via the Irkeshtam Port. This is the first batch of live cattle exported from the jurisdiction of Jiuquan Customs to Uzbekistan, providing a new path for expanding the Central Asian market for characteristic agricultural products.
Jiuquan is located at the western end of the Hexi Corridor, with a dry climate and abundant forage resources, providing favorable conditions for the breeding of high-quality beef cattle breeds such as Simmental cattle. Simmental cattle have a robust physique, strong adaptability, excellent meat production performance, and are resistant to rough feeding and disease, making them well adapted to the climate and feeding conditions in Central Asia. Gansu is an important production base for characteristic agricultural products such as live cattle and beef and mutton supplied to Hong Kong and Macao. In recent years, the live animal husbandry industry has continued to develop, and the level of product quality control and production standardization has been continuously improved, laying the foundation for the export of live cattle to the Central Asian market.

To ensure the smooth export of the first batch of live cattle, Jiuquan Customs has established a working team and built a service mechanism of "tailored policies for enterprises, early intervention, and full guidance". Personnel have been sent to the isolation site of the enterprise for many times to provide on-site guidance, put forward rectification suggestions around the key links such as the addition of export live cow ear brand, the construction of isolation site facilities, epidemic prevention and disinfection and sterilization, and guide the enterprise to implement them item by item. During the 21 day quarantine period, Jiuquan Customs implemented on-site supervision of the entire process of live cattle loading and unloading, sampling and inspection, immunotherapy, etc. After strict clinical inspection and laboratory testing, a "Animal Health Certificate" was issued in accordance with the law. At the same time, a full-time coordinator will be established to follow up the whole process, supervise the enterprises to implement safety measures such as anti escape, anti leakage, epidemic prevention and disinfection and sterilization of transport vehicles, arrange special personnel to follow up the customs clearance connection at ports, coordinate and solve problems in a timely manner, and ensure efficient and smooth customs clearance.
