During the Mengxia season, in the 10000 acre lychee plantation in Pingbian Miao Autonomous County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, clusters of lychee trees come into view, with branches covered in semi red and green fruits, exuding a fragrant aroma. Batch after batch of fresh lychees have been inspected and found to be qualified by the Mengzi Customs under the jurisdiction of Kunming Customs, and then departed for Southeast Asia.
The planting area of lychee in Pingbian County has exceeded 54000 mu, ranking first in Yunnan Province, and lychee production accounts for more than half of Yunnan's lychee production.
