During the Dragon Boat Festival in Yangzhou, seasonal flavors are competing for "freshness" and going out to sea

As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, the fragrance of zongzi leaves fills the air, and many food production enterprises in Yangzhou are entering the peak export season. Under the supervision of Yangzhou Customs under Nanjing Customs, batches of fresh meat Zongzi and Salted duck egg were sent to overseas markets, adding authentic "Chinese flavor" to foreign dining tables.

Entering the production workshop of Yangzhou Yangyang Frozen Food Co., Ltd., workers are working overtime to fulfill export orders. The Zongzi with sharp corners and green plump leaves were soon freshly baked. "At present, it is the peak season for export. At least 75000 Zongzi are sent out every month. Many customers' orders are urgent, and we are all stepping up production." An Zhongyuan, the manager of the production department of the enterprise, said, "What we export is the traditional pig meat stuffed four corner zongzi. Based on the original formula, we have optimized the fat to thin ratio, which is more in line with the current demand for healthy diet, and is welcomed by foreign consumers." From January to May this year, the enterprise exported 58.5 tons of fresh meat Zongzi, an increase of 56% year on year.

In accordance with the regulatory requirements for the export of meat filled Zongzi, Yangzhou Customs instructed enterprises to establish a key inspection list covering 12 indicators, such as microorganisms. Through "online monitoring+on-site verification", the key points such as cooking temperature, duration, and microbial indicators were precisely controlled to effectively ensure the quality and safety of exported Zongzi.
