18 tons of fresh Cambodian durian have successfully entered China through the Beilun River Second Bridge at Guangxi Dongxing Port. This is the first fresh Cambodian durian to arrive at Dongxing Port after China and Cambodia signed the Protocol on Phytosanitary Requirements for Fresh Cambodian Durian Exported to China.

It is understood that this batch of durians shipped from Cambodia will be transported through Vietnam to Dongxing Port, and after entering China, they will be shipped to Fujian for sale.

Wei Mengping, Deputy Director of the Inspection Department of Dongxing Customs, introduced that in order to ensure efficient customs clearance of ASEAN fruits, the Beilun River Second Bridge at Dongxing Port implements regular customs clearance on weekends and holidays, and fruit imports do not require appointments and can be reported upon arrival. Dongxing Customs also provides "package style" services such as priority document review, priority inspection, and immediate inspection to help ASEAN fruits "compete for freshness" and enter the market.

Dongxing Port is one of the important channels for cross-border trade of agricultural products on the China Vietnam border. Dongxing Customs continues to optimize the port's customs clearance software and hardware facilities, and has comprehensively improved the efficiency of port inspection and supervision through measures such as adding inspection berths, scientifically optimizing berth layout, strengthening frontline supervision forces, and upgrading intelligent inspection auxiliary systems. On the fruit inspection platform at Dongxing Port on that day, in addition to Cambodian durians, durians from ASEAN countries such as Thailand and Vietnam were also inspected by customs in an orderly manner.

According to customs statistics, in the first four months of this year, Dongxing Port's Beilun River Second Bridge imported a total of 13000 tons of ASEAN fruits, with durian as the core import category.
