On the morning of June 12th, at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, the designated regulatory site for frozen seafood products was bustling with activity. 55.98 tons of frozen salmon from Norway were quickly cleared through customs procedures under the efficient supervision of Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport Customs under the jurisdiction of Hangzhou Customs, and were immediately diverted to various markets in the Yangtze River Delta.
Since the beginning of this year, with the continuous expansion of market demand and the sustained development of cold chain logistics, the import business of imported fresh ice products at Hangzhou Airport Port has shown a strong growth trend. In the first five months of 2026, the total import volume of chilled aquatic products at Hangzhou Airport Port reached 6475.48 tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.06 times, exceeding the import scale for the whole year of 2025.

At the same time, professional temperature control equipment and quarantine treatment areas are equipped in the comprehensive designated supervision site adjacent to the apron to meet the temperature and quarantine requirements of fresh seafood products. Customs officers carry out on-site quarantine work in the designated supervision site inspection area, which can efficiently complete the entire process of certificate verification, packaging inspection, quarantine inspection, sampling and inspection.
