The export growth rate of "new three types" products reached 138.4%, and Ningbo's foreign trade exceeded 600 billion yuan from January to May this year

According to data released by Ningbo Customs, the total import and export volume of Ningbo City from January to May this year was 628.61 billion yuan, an increase of 5.4% compared to the same period last year, indicating a good trend in foreign trade operations. Among them, exports amounted to 425.78 billion yuan, an increase of 5%, while imports amounted to 202.83 billion yuan, an increase of 6.1%. In May, imports and exports amounted to 126.85 billion yuan, an increase of 1.9%.

From January to May, imports and exports to the European Union amounted to 108.98 billion yuan, an increase of 3.6%; Imports and exports to ASEAN amounted to 96.1 billion yuan, an increase of 12.3%, accounting for 32.6% of Ningbo's total imports and exports. During the same period, the benefits of zero tariffs on Africa were gradually released, with imports and exports to Africa exceeding 40 billion yuan, an increase of 14.4%. In addition, relying on the cooperation opportunity of jointly building the "the Belt and Road", the import and export to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" reached 311.62 billion yuan, an increase of 3.5%, accounting for nearly half of the total.

From January to May this year, Ningbo exported mechanical and electrical products worth 246.96 billion yuan, an increase of 4.1%, accounting for 58% of the city's total exports. Among them, Ningbo made motorcycles sold well overseas, with an export value of 1.49 billion yuan, an increase of 92.4%. During the same period, the export of "new three types" products reached 28.51 billion yuan, an increase of 138.4%, maintaining a strong growth trend. Among them, electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, and photovoltaic products were exported at 18.11 billion yuan, 5.95 billion yuan, and 4.44 billion yuan, respectively, an increase of 215.9%, 57.9%, and 81.1%.
