On May 30th, the ultra large container ship "Rotterdam Express" slowly docked at the Ningbo Zhoushan Port Jintang Port Yongzhou Container Terminal. Under the supervision of Zhoushan Customs, it is planned to complete the unloading operation of 10541 TEUs at the port. The maximum container capacity of this ship is about 24000 TEUs, making it one of the largest container ships in the world.
Efficient customs clearance provides a solid guarantee for the smooth berthing operation of the giant ship. In response to the characteristics of the ship's large tonnage, large container volume, and intensive operation processes, Zhoushan Customs has contacted the enterprise in advance to timely grasp the ship's navigation plan and berthing operation plan, optimize the supervision and clearance plan, and achieve "zero waiting" for ship arrival operations. We strengthen the application of intelligent supervision and use the 'automatic container extraction' module to achieve 'immediate reporting and extraction' of imported empty containers. At the same time, we use the 'backscatter perspective imaging+quadruped robot' intelligent empty container supervision mode to achieve immediate unloading, inspection, and release of imported empty containers. The shortest time from unloading a single container to release is only 10 minutes, "said Ge Xiaofeng, head of the Second Supervision Department of Zhoushan Customs.
This berthing is not only a strong proof of the throughput capacity and hardcore carrying capacity of Jintang Port Area, but also a vivid practice of Zhoushan Customs deeply cultivating the "Yiwu development experience" and empowering the port with high-level opening and high-quality development through reform and innovation.
To assist in the construction of Ningbo Zhoushan Port as a world-class port, Zhoushan Customs has adapted measures to local conditions, combined with the construction of smart customs, continuously optimized regulatory reforms and customs clearance services, and launched the first batch of pilot supervision models for sea rail intermodal transportation and water water intermodal transportation for import and export goods in China, achieving "one declaration, one order connection" and improving cross-border logistics transportation efficiency. Open up the "Yiwu Ningbo Zhoushan" railway public water multimodal transportation logistics channel, realizing the one-time completion of all customs clearance procedures for goods at the departure point in Yiwu, saving more than 10% of logistics costs for enterprises. At the same time, promote the application of intelligent customs locks for transit goods, achieving 24/7 automatic sealing, verification, and visualization of transit trajectories for transit goods. Creating an integrated service channel for AEO enterprises, through convenient measures such as prioritizing customs clearance procedures and inspections, the export efficiency of goods has been increased by over 90%, and the dock operation time has been reduced by nearly 20%.
Data shows that in the first five months of this year, the Yongzhou Container Terminal in Jintang Port completed a container throughput of 1.797 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 22.7%, and currently operates 44 international container routes. (Wu Tong/Text)
