Xiangshan Port welcomes its first imported ocean going fishing vessel of the year
On May 27th, the ocean going fishing vessel "Yongfa 1/YONGFA1" loaded with 666 tons of frozen squid slowly docked at the Xiangshan Supply and Marketing Port. After being supervised by the Xiangshan Customs under the jurisdiction of Ningbo Customs, it began unloading. This is the first imported ocean going fishing vessel to arrive at Xiangshan Port this year.
The primary challenge faced by offshore fishing vessels entering the country this time is that the vessel's "Certificate of Exemption from Sanitary Control Measures for Ships" has expired. The validity period of this certificate is generally 6 months. Due to the long sailing operation cycle of ocean going fishing vessels, certificate expiration is a common problem. After learning about this situation, Xiangshan Customs immediately contacted the shipping agency, comprehensively assessed the quarantine risks, formulated targeted anchorage quarantine plans, and completed anchorage quarantine as soon as possible to ensure the smooth docking of ships.
It is reported that this is the first time that the China Supply and Marketing Terminal has unloaded offshore fish, and it is also the first time that the shipper has attempted to carry out import and export business at Xiangshan Port. Xiangshan Customs has provided advanced services, strengthened communication with enterprises and terminals, carried out policy promotion and business guidance, and streamlined the customs clearance process for imported goods. At the same time, in response to the characteristics of perishable and high clearance time requirements for offshore fishing catch, the customs has opened a "green channel" and comprehensively used the "advance declaration+ship side direct pickup" mode to ensure "zero delay" of offshore fishing catch clearance at the port.
This is the first imported cargo ship after the completion of national level acceptance of the opening of the China Supply and Marketing Port, marking the comprehensive launch of import and export business at this new port and entering the stage of normalized operation. The Xiangshan Modern Marine Fisheries Doubling Platform has also been successfully selected for the second batch of provincial-level marine industry quality improvement and efficiency doubling platform cultivation list. The platform focuses on four major functional areas: Hepu Fishing Port, Nordic Aquaculture Park, Shipumen Qiantang, and China Aquaculture City, building a full industry chain spatial carrier from seed research and development, aquaculture and fishing, processing and circulation to trade services. The smooth entry of "Yongfa 1" with a full load of offshore fishing is a vivid portrayal of the continuous improvement of Xiangshan Port's functions and the revitalization of offshore fishing.
