According to statistics from Fuzhou Customs, in the first four months of this year, the import and export of processing trade in Fujian Province continued to maintain a good development trend, with imports and exports reaching 85.27 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%, accounting for 13.2% of the total import and export value of Fujian Province during the same period, an increase of 0.8 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Among them, exports amounted to 54.19 billion yuan, an increase of 11.2%; Imports amounted to 31.08 billion yuan, an increase of 21.5%. Both processing trade exports and imports have achieved double-digit growth, demonstrating strong resilience and vitality.

Among them, foreign-invested enterprises account for 59.7% of the total import and export value of processing trade in Fujian Province; Private enterprises accounted for 29.6%, an increase of 1.9 percentage points compared to the same period last year; State owned enterprises account for 10.7%.

Our trading partners are diverse and advancing together, and our traditional market performance is impressive. In the first four months of this year, the import and export of processing trade in Fujian Province to the European Union amounted to 11.75 billion yuan, an increase of 29.1%, accounting for 13.8% of the total import and export value of processing trade in Fujian Province; Imports and exports to South Korea, Australia, and Mexico increased by 80.6%, 102.8%, and 121.4% respectively.

Mechanical and electrical products firmly occupy the leading position in Fujian Province's processing and trade exports and imports, with obvious engine support. In the first four months of this year, Fujian Province's processing trade exported mechanical and electrical products worth 40.49 billion yuan, an increase of 11.1%, accounting for 74.7% of the total value of Fujian Province's processing trade exports. Among them, central processing components and automobiles increased by 54.3% and 65.1% respectively; Imported mechanical and electrical products amounted to 13.51 billion yuan, an increase of 21%, accounting for 43.5% of the total value of processing trade imports in Fujian Province.
