Beijing, May 20th (Reporter Ouyang Jie) According to statistics from Shanghai Customs, in the first four months of 2026, the total import and export value of the Yangtze River Delta region reached 6.14 trillion yuan, a record high for the same period in history, with a year-on-year growth of 15.9%, accounting for 37.8% of the country's total import and export value. Among them, exports amounted to 3.83 trillion yuan and imports amounted to 2.31 trillion yuan, accounting for 41% and 33.5% of the total national export and import value, respectively, with year-on-year growth of 13.6% and 20.1%.

In the first four months, the import and export of the Yangtze River Delta region to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" was 3.09 trillion yuan, up 17.1% year on year, accounting for 37.4% of the total import and export value of the country jointly building the "the Belt and Road" in the same period; Imports and exports to other RCEP member countries amounted to 2.13 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.9%, accounting for 41.2% of the country's total imports and exports to other RCEP member countries during the same period; Imports and exports to ASEAN countries amounted to 1.03 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.7%, accounting for 37.6% of the total import and export value of the country to ASEAN countries during the same period.
