According to Kunming Customs statistics, during the 2025/2026 crushing season (December 2025 to April 2026), Yunnan Province imported a total of 3.75 million tons of sugarcane, a year-on-year increase of 19.8%.

At the Manghai Passage in Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, the Mangshi Customs officers under Kunming Customs supervised and released the last batch of imported fresh sugarcane during the 2025/226 crushing season at the port. Stable and high-quality supply of sugarcane raw materials is the key to the development of the sugarcane industry. During this crushing season, the Daluo Port in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture imported a total of 308000 tons of sugarcane with a value of 145 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.09 times, setting a new historical high. Customs officers ensure efficient customs clearance of 2000 tons of imported sugarcane per day, with a peak of 2800 tons per day.
