Hohhot, Inner Mongolia: Technology and Trade Tour Enters the Area to Assist Enterprises in Coping with New Challenges of Going Global
On May 27th, in order to better promote the construction of the Hohhot area of the China (Inner Mongolia) Pilot Free Trade Zone (hereinafter referred to as the "area") and implement the requirements of the 2026 Cross border Trade Facilitation Special Action Plan, the "Technical Trade Escort and Assistance for Enterprises Going Global" technical trade measures lecture event was held in Hohhot on May 27th, hosted by the Standardization Center of the General Administration of Customs, co organized by Hohhot Customs and Hohhot Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by Saihan Customs, Hohhot Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and the Research and Evaluation Base for Technical Trade Measures of Milk and Dairy Products.
This tour focuses on the pain points and difficulties in the import and export development of advantageous industries such as dairy and dairy products. Leveraging the platform advantages of the region, it builds a professional service bridge for enterprises in the dairy and dairy products and food fields to break through overseas technical and trade barriers, and open up overseas channels. It has attracted more than 50 characteristic agricultural and food product export enterprises and more than 70 enterprise representatives from the autonomous region to attend.
At the event, a team of six experts from the Standardization Center of the General Administration of Customs, the National Customs Food Industry, and the China Dairy Industry Association gave special lectures on the hot trends in the development of the international dairy and dairy products industry, the evaluation system of technical trade measures (TBT), the introduction of import and export food inspection and supervision, the interpretation and practical application of international trade technical barriers rules. The teaching content closely follows the new situation, new rules, and new requirements of the current dairy and dairy product export market, combining theoretical expertise with practical implementation. It systematically sorts out the compliance points and risk avoidance methods of dairy and dairy product exports, explains key work processes such as technology and trade evaluation, compliance declaration, and standard docking, effectively helps enterprises consolidate the theoretical foundation of technology and trade response, clarify compliance management ideas, enhance risk disposal capabilities, and further deepen government enterprise cooperation.

It is reported that in 2026, Hohhot will be selected as a national pilot city for the special action of cross-border trade facilitation for the first time.
