Dalian oysters fly overseas through Xiamen - Xiamen completes the first batch of fresh aquatic product export "air to air transit" customs clearance business
On April 9th, under the supervision of Xiamen Airport Customs, a batch of oysters weighing 710 kilograms took Xiamen Airlines international flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, marking the successful completion of Xiamen's first fresh aquatic product export "air to air transfer" customs clearance business.
Dalian is an important oyster breeding and supply base in China. The locally produced oysters have delicious meat and a fresh and sweet taste, making them highly competitive in the international market. Oysters belong to the category of 'fresh, special, and urgent' export commodities, with very high requirements for freshness and timeliness. Due to the lack of direct flights from Dalian to Kuala Lumpur, the export capacity of oysters was difficult to guarantee in the past. Now, thanks to the dense Southeast Asian routes at Xiamen Port, the 'air to air transfer' mode is adopted, and oysters are transported from the Dalian manufacturer's warehouse to the Kuala Lumpur market for shelving, with a total time of no more than 24 hours, achieving a fast and direct delivery of oysters from the production area to the dining table, "said Liu Bingcheng, manager of Xiamen cargo terminal of Shangzhou Aviation Logistics Co., Ltd.
Air freight "air to air transfer" refers to the transportation method of goods arriving at the destination through two or more flights, which is conducive to activating cargo route resources, building more convenient air freight bridges, and reducing transportation costs. According to customs officials at Xiamen Airport, "air to air transit" transportation requires cooperation and linkage between the originating and transit customs, early testing of information and data transmission systems, communication and coordination of various links to ensure details, and one-stop supervision to jointly ensure the smooth completion of business.
To ensure that this batch of oysters can reach the dining tables of overseas consumers with the best quality, Xiamen Airport Customs has implemented precise measures, actively communicated with Dalian Customs, closely monitored flight dynamics, and guided enterprises to transmit manifest information and transit data. At the same time, in response to the special needs of flights arriving in Xiamen at night and exporting oysters, the customs fully utilizes its all-weather clearance advantages, launches a "fast track" for fresh aquatic product exports, arranges dedicated personnel to complete arrival confirmation in the first time, and uses the "airside direct access" mode to quickly handle cargo transfer, effectively compressing the release time of transit goods and ensuring the "fresh clearance" of oysters.
The key to exporting fresh products lies in speed and quality. In the next step, Xiamen Airport Customs will continue to optimize the 'air to air transfer' customs supervision mode, further expanding the scope of 'air to air transfer' customs business on the basis of existing Kunming Flower and Dalian Fresh, and helping Xiamen Airport build a fresh goods transfer hub for Southeast Asia, becoming a 'golden springboard' for more fresh products to go global, "said Zheng Zhe, head of the Logistics Supervision Department of Xiamen Airport Customs. In the first quarter of this year, Xiamen Airport Customs supervised a total of 10100 tons of imported and exported fresh goods, a year-on-year increase of 11.96%, of which 2817.16 tons were exported, a year-on-year increase of 74.39%.
