Fujian's exports to ASEAN exceeded 50 billion yuan in the first quarter

In recent years, Fujian has fully leveraged its advantages as a coastal open port, focused on building a new pattern of opening up to ASEAN, and reached a new level of economic and trade cooperation. According to Xiamen Customs statistics, from January to March, Fujian's imports and exports to ASEAN reached 90.59 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.6%, accounting for 18.9% of the province's total import and export value during the same period; Among them, exports exceeded 50 billion yuan, reaching 52.66 billion yuan, accounting for 19.5% of the province's total export value during the same period, while imports amounted to 37.93 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%, accounting for 18.1% of the province's total import value during the same period.

According to officials from Xiamen Customs, private enterprises continue to dominate. From January to March, private enterprises in Fujian Province imported and exported 60.46 billion yuan to ASEAN, a year-on-year increase of 10.6%, accounting for over 60% of the province's total import and export value to ASEAN during the same period. During the same period, state-owned enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises in Fujian exported 15.78 billion yuan and 14.34 billion yuan respectively to ASEAN, accounting for a total of 33.3%.

Among ASEAN countries, Indonesia is Fujian's largest trading partner. According to statistics, from January to March, Fujian's imports and exports to Indonesia amounted to 30.31 billion yuan, accounting for 33.5% of the province's total imports and exports to ASEAN during the same period. During the same period, Fujian's imports and exports to Vietnam and the Philippines were prosperous, with imports and exports of 18.48 billion yuan and 13.07 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 8% and 10.6% year-on-year, accounting for a total of 34.8%.

In terms of export commodities, electromechanical products and labor-intensive products are the main commodities exported by Fujian to ASEAN. Data shows that from January to March, Fujian exported mechanical and electrical products to ASEAN worth 20.12 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.7%, accounting for 38.2% of the province's total export value to ASEAN during the same period. During the same period, Fujian exported labor-intensive products worth 11.12 billion yuan to ASEAN, accounting for 21.1%; The main export of textiles and clothing was 6.53 billion yuan, accounting for 12.4%.

According to officials from Xiamen Customs, imported goods are mainly energy products. From January to March, Fujian imported 9.77 billion yuan of energy products from ASEAN, accounting for 25.8% of the province's total import value from ASEAN during the same period; Among them, imported coal, natural gas, and crude oil amounted to 5.05 billion yuan, 2.98 billion yuan, and 1.74 billion yuan respectively. During the same period, Fujian imported agricultural products worth 5.12 billion yuan from ASEAN, a year-on-year increase of 20%, accounting for 13.5%; Among them, imported aquatic products amounted to 1.42 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28.6%, and imported edible oil amounted to 1.01 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.4 times.
