Yiwu's foreign trade import and export exceeded 200 billion yuan in the first quarter
According to statistics from Yiwu Customs, in the first quarter, the total import and export value of Yiwu, Zhejiang reached 209.37 billion yuan, surpassing the 200 billion yuan mark one month earlier than last year, a year-on-year increase of 25%, which is 10 percentage points higher than the national import and export growth rate.
Among them, exports amounted to 178.61 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.3%; Imports amounted to 30.76 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 52.2%. We have trade relations with over 220 countries and regions. The import and export to ASEAN increased by 68.3%, making ASEAN the fastest-growing market among Yiwu's major trading markets. Over the same period, imports and exports to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" reached 147.4 billion yuan, up 29.8%; Imports and exports to Africa amounted to 41 billion yuan, an increase of 47.3%.
Among the main export commodities, the export of mechanical and electrical products reached 67.56 billion yuan, an increase of 23.8%. The exports of automotive spare parts and electric motorcycles increased by 65.1% and 1.2 times respectively.
In terms of imports, the import of consumer goods increased by 41.5% year-on-year. From the perspective of the import market, the zero tariff policy dividend has driven a significant increase of 92.6% in imports from Africa; ASEAN is the largest source of imports, with a growth of 1.3 times.
