Jilin's foreign trade volume and quality have both increased, with strong vitality. In the first quarter, the total import and export value of goods trade increased by 32.1% year-on-year

According to data from the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, the total import and export value of goods trade in Jilin Province reached 46.18 billion yuan in the first quarter of this year, setting a new historical high for the same period, with a year-on-year growth rate of 32.1%, which is 17.1 percentage points higher than the national average level. The increasingly convenient customs clearance services, the rapid development of new formats such as cross-border e-commerce, and the stable support of key industries such as automobiles have injected strong momentum into the outstanding performance of Jilin Province's foreign trade in the first quarter.

As an important gateway for China's opening up to Northeast Asia, Hunchun City, a small city in the eastern part of Jilin Province, has built a three-dimensional customs clearance pattern of "highway+railway+sea transportation" by leveraging multiple policies such as cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone and comprehensive bonded zone. In the first quarter, Hunchun City achieved an import and export trade volume of 9.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 110.8%. The five major fields of fresh seafood trade, clean energy import, commodity vehicle export, personnel entry and exit, and cross-border e-commerce are advancing simultaneously.

Li Yongzheng, the instructor of the duty team at Hunchun Border Inspection Station, introduced that with the comprehensive implementation of relevant policies, the vitality of cross-border exchanges in Hunchun continues to be released, and the flow of people and logistics at Hunchun Port continues to steadily increase.

Based on the development of local economy and trade and the needs of people's travel, Hunchun Port continuously upgrades measures to facilitate the people and benefit enterprises. For cross-border tourism groups and commercial transportation vehicles, exclusive fast channels will be established to promote appointment clearance and priority inspection services; Open up green channels for fresh agricultural and sideline products, cross-border e-commerce goods, implement rapid inspection and efficient release mechanisms, and minimize the time limit for customs clearance of goods. Hunchun Border Inspection Station also regularly sets up convenient service posts, relying on the advantages of bilingual policing to comprehensively improve customs clearance efficiency and travel experience.

Cross border e-commerce is increasingly becoming a powerful engine. In recent years, Jilin Province has vigorously implemented the "Digital Chain Global Jipin Going Global" action, and new formats such as cross-border e-commerce have continued to develop rapidly. In the first quarter, the import and export volume of cross-border e-commerce in Jilin Province increased by 704.5% year-on-year, becoming the strongest engine driving foreign trade growth in the province.

As of now, Jilin Province has four national cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones: Changchun, Hunchun, Jilin, and Yanji. Liu Lifang, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, introduced that the provincial commerce department has fully played its role in overall planning and coordination, promoting the better implementation of a series of facilitation policies such as "list verification and release, summary statistics", "tax exemption without tickets", and "income tax verification and collection". In the recent assessment and evaluation of the national cross-border e-commerce pilot zones, all four pilot zones in Jilin Province have entered the ranks of "good results".

Focusing on the tax related needs of cross-border e-commerce and other cross-border business enterprises, the tax department of Jilin Province continues to build the "Tax Road Tong · North Jixing" cross-border tax and fee service brand, providing full cycle, multi-level, and personalized compliance guidance. Not only actively building a linkage mechanism between provincial, municipal, and county tax departments, but also equipping "project leaders" for key projects of "bringing in" and "going out", and jointly establishing a "Cross border Enterprise Service Special Team" with customs, commerce, and other departments, focusing on cross-border business tax risk prevention and control, foreign trade compliance standards, and other content to provide precise guidance, guiding enterprises to enhance compliance awareness, and promoting stable and healthy development of cross-border operations.

The automobile industry is a pillar industry in Jilin Province. In the first quarter, relevant departments in Jilin Province vigorously coordinated to solve the problem of commercial vehicle export, and the export of complete vehicles achieved significant growth, with a year-on-year increase of 35% in the export value of second-hand vehicles.

Yanbian Yulong Motor Vehicle Evaluation Co., Ltd. is a commercial enterprise engaged in the import and export of second-hand cars. The general manager of the company, Lang Shigang, revealed that in the first quarter, the company exported 528 vehicles with a trade volume of 37 million yuan, all of which achieved significant growth.

It is reported that in the first quarter, Jilin Province planned 31 provincial-level overseas delegations, organized nearly 100 enterprises to participate in the Canton Fair, and provided training to 213 foreign trade related business associations to promote the "group overseas" of small and medium-sized enterprises. Thanks to various effective measures, the export of high value-added products such as biomedicine, energy storage systems, and electronic components in Jilin Province also grew rapidly in the first quarter, demonstrating a trend of simultaneous increase in foreign trade volume and quality.
