In the first quarter, China's overall industry's outward direct investment increased by 5.4% year-on-year

Beijing, May 7th (Reporter Luo Shanshan) According to statistics from the Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, China's total industry outward direct investment in the first quarter of this year was 309.45 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%. Among them, domestic investors in China have made non-financial direct investments in 4111 overseas enterprises from 140 countries and regions, with a total investment of 232.86 billion yuan. In the first quarter, China's foreign contracted engineering business achieved a turnover of 259.35 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%, with a newly signed contract amount of 385.3 billion yuan.

In the first quarter, Chinese enterprises invested 61.27 billion yuan in non-financial direct investment in the "the Belt and Road" countries. In terms of foreign contracting projects, Chinese enterprises are jointly building the "the Belt and Road" countries with a newly signed contract value of 348.51 billion yuan, up 2.4% year on year; Completed a turnover of 218.69 billion yuan, an increase of 10%.

In the first quarter, Chinese enterprises dispatched a total of 96000 laborers of various types overseas, including 30000 for contracted projects and 66000 for labor cooperation.
