The export value of Shanghai Airport Suzhou pre cargo terminal exceeded 700 million yuan after one year of operation
On April 7th, a truck from Shanghai Airport to Suzhou Forward Cargo Terminal was automatically supervised and released by customs, and then headed towards Shanghai Pudong International Airport before taking an international flight to overseas. As the first cross provincial and cross customs aviation pre cargo terminal in China, the Shanghai Airport Suzhou pre cargo terminal has opened up an efficient channel for regional production factor circulation, extending Shanghai Airport's air cargo services to the doorstep of Suzhou enterprises.
Since its launch in April 2025, the Shanghai Airport Suzhou pre cargo terminal has celebrated one year. Over the past year, the freight station has continuously iterated and optimized its service processes, greatly improving customs clearance efficiency and significantly reducing logistics costs for enterprises, becoming a benchmark project for cross regional customs clearance facilitation in the Yangtze River Delta. As of now, the front-end cargo terminal has operated a total of 646 shipments of goods, with an export value of approximately 705 million yuan. It has linked with 36 international airlines, served 79 enterprises in Suzhou, and transported goods to 47 countries and regions around the world.
The pre shipment station has provided a lot of convenience for our company's import and export business. We can achieve 'one security check and one customs inspection' at our doorstep, "said Wu Gaoming, Deputy General Manager of Suzhou Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Nowadays, each shipment is loaded from the front-end cargo station to Pudong Airport in about 12 hours, saving transportation time by more than 60% and reducing ground logistics costs for enterprises by 10% to 30%.
In the future, front-end freight stations will also build efficient and convenient export channels for more enterprises, continuously releasing the strong momentum of interconnection and coordinated development in the Yangtze River Delta region, and injecting more lasting vitality into the stable and smooth operation of the Yangtze River Delta foreign trade industry chain and supply chain.
