The 14th round of negotiations for the second phase of the China South Korea Free Trade Agreement was held in South Korea

The 14th round of negotiations for the second phase of the China Korea Free Trade Agreement will be held in Seoul, South Korea from April 6-10, 2026. Both sides have earnestly implemented the important consensus of the two heads of state on accelerating the second phase of negotiations on the China South Korea Free Trade Agreement, and conducted in-depth discussions on issues such as cross-border service trade, investment, and financial services, as well as issues related to the negative list. The negotiations have made positive progress.

The China South Korea Free Trade Agreement was signed and came into effect in 2015. According to the agreement, both sides are committed to creating a more open service trade and investment environment for enterprises of the two countries through the second phase of negotiations on the free trade agreement, and promoting the healthy and stable development of China South Korea economic and trade relations.
