Shenzhen Customs recently released data that in the first two months of this year, Shenzhen's foreign trade achieved a "good start", making it the only city in China with an import and export scale exceeding 800 billion yuan. In the first two months, Shenzhen's cumulative import and export reached 824.23 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 37.3%, setting a new historical high for the same period. Among them, exports amounted to 494.36 billion yuan, an increase of 35.5%; Imports amounted to 329.87 billion yuan, an increase of 40%.
The product structure continues to be optimized and upgraded. In the first two months, the import and export of electronic components and computer parts related to artificial intelligence (AI) reached 316.69 billion yuan, an increase of 37.1%, contributing 38.3% to the growth of Shenzhen's foreign trade; The export of green and low-carbon products maintained rapid growth, with the "new three types" products increasing by 43.7% and reaching a scale of 21.56 billion yuan; The export of characteristic advantageous products such as drones, 3D printers, and digital cameras has grown rapidly, with growth rates of 66.9%, 183.7%, and 68.9% respectively, all of which remain the largest in the country in terms of scale.
Trade partners are more diverse. Emerging markets and traditional markets are making simultaneous efforts. In the first two months, Shenzhen's imports and exports to emerging markets reached 468.97 billion yuan, an increase of 31.5%. Among them, significant achievements have been made in exploring regions such as ASEAN, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa, with exports increasing by 83.8%, 40.8%, 62.3%, and 77.6% respectively. The import and export of developed economies also maintained a relatively fast growth rate, reaching 292.41 billion yuan, an increase of 45%. Among them, imports and exports to the European Union, the United States, Japan, and South Korea increased by 40%, 27.1%, 87.7%, and 28.5% respectively.
The role of private enterprises as the main force is further highlighted. In the first two months, there were 41200 private enterprises with import and export records in Shenzhen, an increase of 40.9%; Created a foreign trade value of 599.18 billion yuan, an increase of 47.6%, accounting for over 70% of Shenzhen's total foreign trade value, ranking first in both quantity and scale in the country. The autonomy of Shenzhen's foreign trade continues to improve, with a longer industrial chain and higher added value of general trade imports and exports totaling 462.58 billion yuan, an increase of 46.4%, accounting for 56.1% of Shenzhen's total foreign trade value, a year-on-year increase of 3.5 percentage points; The export of self owned brand products in Shenzhen reached 150.21 billion yuan, an increase of 46%, ranking first in the country in terms of scale.
