The first direct flight route from northern China to Penang, Malaysia has been opened
On March 31st, 182 passengers departed from Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport on the direct flight from Qingdao to Penang, Malaysia, marking the smooth opening of the direct flight from Qingdao to Penang, Malaysia. This is the first direct international route from Shandong Province to Penang, and also the first direct international route from northern China to Penang.
According to the flight schedule, the route will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with a one-way flight time of only 6.5 hours.
At present, Qingdao Port is accelerating the construction of transit channels along the Yellow River Basin and the northwest, northeast, and southwest regions through Qingdao to Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia, continuously expanding the transit market from Southeast Asia to the central and western regions. The landing of the new route not only precisely fills the gap in direct transportation between Shandong and Penang, but also directly enhances the passenger transport capacity of northern China to Malaysia and Southeast Asia, "said Bai Wei, the manager of the Ground Services Department of Qingdao Airlines
We continue to deepen the construction of smart customs, comprehensively implement the "one-time inspection" and "double pre inspection" supervision mode for outbound luggage, and continuously optimize the passenger clearance experience, "said Wang Qing, head of the Customs Travel Inspection and Control Department at Qingdao Jiaodong Airport. In response to the needs of opening new routes, increasing flight schedules, and developing new transit formats, Customs provides full process policy guidance and filing convenience for airlines, accurately connects various needs of route operation preparation, and formulates special supervision and guarantee plans in advance to ensure the convenience of customs clearance for inbound and outbound passengers.
