Six departments issue documents to better serve the real economy and promote high-quality development of e-commerce

Beijing, April 6 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Commerce and six other departments recently issued the "Guiding Opinions on Better Serving the Real Economy and Promoting the High quality Development of E-commerce", aiming to continuously promote the high-quality development, high-level opening, and efficient governance of e-commerce, and better serve the consolidation and growth of the real economy.

The person in charge of the E-commerce Department of the Ministry of Commerce introduced that e-commerce is rooted in and grows in the real economy. It is not only an important component of the real economy, but also an important lever to empower it. We will coordinate opinions to promote and regulate, efficiency and fairness, vitality and order, propose 16 measures in 5 aspects, and build a framework system for high-quality development of e-commerce.

In terms of empowering and increasing efficiency, the opinions propose three measures to assist small and medium-sized enterprises in transformation, deepen rural e-commerce, and cultivate industrial e-commerce, leveraging the advantages of e-commerce to help consolidate and strengthen the foundation of the real economy.

In terms of strengthening innovation leadership, the opinions propose three measures: accelerating the application of technological innovation, vigorously developing quality consumption, and actively creating integrated carriers, deepening online and offline integration, and helping to achieve a higher level of dynamic balance between supply and demand.

In terms of promoting high-level opening up, the opinions put forward four measures: promoting cross-border e-commerce, expanding "Silk Road e-commerce", accelerating institutional opening up, and promoting rule linkage, to jointly build and share the Chinese e-commerce market.

In terms of creating a good ecology, the opinions put forward three measures: consolidating platform responsibilities, strengthening normalized supervision, and guiding compliance in going global, to promote win-win development for all parties in the ecology.

In terms of strengthening support and guarantee, the opinions propose three measures to optimize the supply of financial products, activate the value of data elements, and strengthen the precise training of talents, in order to continuously consolidate the foundation of e-commerce development.
