Service exports increased by 4.7% year-on-year in the first two months

Beijing, April 7th (Reporter Luo Shanshan) - According to the Ministry of Commerce, in the first two months, China's total import and export of services was 1143.07 billion yuan, of which exports were 442.49 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%.

The proportion of import and export of knowledge intensive services has increased. In the first two months, the import and export of knowledge intensive services amounted to 486.27 billion yuan, accounting for 42.5% of the total service import and export, an increase of 0.3 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Among them, the export of knowledge intensive services reached 248.23 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%.

The scale of travel, other business services, and transportation ranks among the top three. In the first two months, travel imports and exports amounted to 362.59 billion yuan, making it the largest sector of service trade in China. Among them, travel exports reached 60.96 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.5%. The import and export volumes of other commercial services and transportation were 272.32 billion yuan and 212.23 billion yuan, respectively.
