London China UK Investor Forum focuses on strengthening bilateral cooperation
London, March 25th (Xinhua) - The China UK Investor Forum, hosted by the official forum of international monetary and financial institutions, was held in London on the 24th. More than 100 representatives from the Chinese and British political, business, and academic circles attended the meeting to conduct in-depth discussions on strengthening bilateral economic, trade, and investment cooperation.
Chinese Ambassador to the UK Zheng Zeguang stated in his keynote speech that the business community between China and the UK has always been an important force in promoting the development of bilateral relations. He hopes that both sides can strengthen cooperation in areas such as goods and services trade, two-way investment, and expanding third-party markets. He looks forward to companies seizing opportunities in green finance, financial technology, asset management, insurance, and other fields.
Ivan Rogers, former UK representative to the EU, said that China adheres to high-quality development and high-level opening-up, and China's prosperity provides more opportunities for the UK. British companies can leverage their advantages in services such as finance, business, law, consulting, and education to collaborate with Chinese companies.
David Marsh, Chairman of the official forum of international monetary and financial institutions, believes that there is vast space for deepening economic and trade cooperation between the UK and China, and the two sides can carry out cooperation in many fields such as finance, artificial intelligence, communication, transportation, and energy.
The forum also conducted thematic discussions on areas such as financial services, digital payments, and future technology.
