This year, Hainan has achieved a "good start" in imports and exports with other initiators of the Boao Forum for Asia

The reporter learned from Haikou Customs that since the beginning of this year, Hainan has achieved a "good start" in the import and export of goods to other countries that initiated the Boao Forum for Asia.

According to Haikou Customs statistics, in the first two months of this year, Hainan's imports and exports to 28 other Boao Forum for Asia initiating countries amounted to 17.16 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28.1%, accounting for 33.7% of Hainan's total foreign trade imports and exports during the same period. Among them, exports amounted to 7.18 billion yuan, an increase of 62.4%; Imports amounted to 9.98 billion yuan, an increase of 11.1%.

In the first two months of this year, Hainan achieved double-digit growth in imports and exports to 24 initiating countries. The other initiators of the Boao Forum for Asia are the main sources of imports for Hainan's mineral sands and agricultural products; More than half of Hainan's agricultural products are sold to the initiating countries, and exports of edible oil, vegetables, alcoholic beverages, and tea have shown varying degrees of growth. In addition, the export of mechanical and electrical products to the initiating country was 2.06 billion yuan, an increase of 159.2%, accounting for 28.7% of Hainan's total export value to the initiating country.
