In the first two months, the import and export performance of goods trade in our province was impressive, and the trade scale increased by over 30% year-on-year

The reporter learned from Changchun Customs that in the first two months of this year, the total import and export value of goods trade in our province was 30.38 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 34.1%, which is 15.8 percentage points higher than the national average growth rate. Among them, exports amounted to 14.53 billion yuan, an increase of 74.8%; Imports amounted to 15.85 billion yuan, an increase of 10.6%.

The vitality of foreign trade entities continues to increase. In the first two months, the number of enterprises with import and export performance in our province increased by 175 compared to the same period last year. Foreign invested enterprises and private enterprises are the main force in import and export, both achieving year-on-year growth. The import and export volume was 13.26 billion yuan and 10.53 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 71.9% and 39.6%, accounting for 78.3% of the total import and export value of our province during the same period.

The circle of friends in foreign trade is becoming larger and larger. In the first two months, there were four more countries and regions that had import and export trade with our province compared to the same period last year, and our trading partners became more diversified. In addition, the import and export of countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" increased by 56.8%.

The structure of foreign trade products is moving towards optimization and innovation. In the first two months, our province's export growth was strong, ranking third in the country in terms of growth rate. The export of electromechanical products reached 6.46 billion yuan, an increase of 50.1%, accounting for 44.5% of the total export value of our province during the same period. The export of high-end equipment, biopharmaceuticals, electronic components, and the "new three" products representing green and low-carbon, which are closely related to new quality productivity, have all increased significantly, and the leading role of new momentum continues to be highlighted. In addition, the import of electromechanical products reached 12.62 billion yuan, an increase of 17%, accounting for 79.6% of the total import value of our province during the same period. Among them, the import of automotive spare parts reached 5.19 billion yuan, a significant increase of 114.5%, which is the main driving force for the growth of imports.
