Recently, Yantai Customs seized and returned 2000 imported toothbrushes with substandard quality.
According to the control instructions, customs officers conducted on-site inspection and sampled a batch of imported toothbrushes for testing. After identification, the qualified rate of the top contour of the imported toothbrush bristles (irregular hair type) is less than 40%, which does not meet the requirements of the national standard "General Technical Requirements for Safety of Toothbrushes and Oral Utensils". The customs issued a "Notice of Inspection and Quarantine Treatment" in accordance with the law, ordering it to be returned from the country.
Toothbrushes that fail the sanding project can cause damage to gum tissue and tooth surfaces, and long-term use can seriously harm oral health, causing damage to gums and soft tissues in the mouth. (Wang Yifu, Liang Huili/Wen)
