The first batch of 21 tons of fresh cantaloupe from Honduras has successfully cleared customs

Recently, the first batch of 21 tons of fresh Honduran cantaloupe was cleared by Shenzhen Bay Customs under the supervision of Shenzhen Customs and officially entered the domestic market. The smooth import of this batch of sweet melons is a concrete achievement of China and Hong Kong implementing the Protocol on Phytosanitary Requirements for Fresh Sweet Melons Exported to China, signed in August 2024.

Thanks to the unique tropical climate conditions in the area, Honduran cantaloupe has a high sugar content, firm and delicate flesh, and a rich and long-lasting fruit aroma. With its distinctive "Caribbean sweet style", it brings a new taste experience to Chinese consumers.

It is reported that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hong Kong, another characteristic agricultural product has officially entered the Chinese market, following the approval of Honduras' bananas, coffee beans, tobacco leaves, South American white shrimp and other agricultural products to be exported to China. Both sides take animal and plant quarantine cooperation as an important link, continuously deepen practical economic and trade cooperation, and continue to bring tangible benefits to the people of both countries.
